教材分析

Ingrated skills部分主要通过出示图片、播放录音让学生学习一些描述天气变化的词。本课时重点为听、说技能的训练,要求学生能用一些功能用语谈论季节气候的变化通过教师的讲解,开展多种形式的活动,学生总结知识,应用知识。

学情分析:

本单元的话题是四季,通过前面几个课时的学习学生对四季的表达及特点已经较为熟知,在读、写能力上有了很大提升,但在听、说方面教师们还需要用多种途径帮助学生加强练习,从而使得学生听说读写能力全面发展。

教学目标

基础知识

词汇:snowstorm, wind, around, rest, degree, bit, blow, loud, ring

词组:turn more cloudy, in the thirties, the rest of, a bit

句型:How are you doing?

The wind will be stronger and the temperature will drop below zero.

How is the weather in Nanjing?

基本技能:

1听录音,获取具体信息。

2根据从录音中获取的信息完成记录。

3学会谈论不同地方的天气能运用适当的形容词来描述天气或事物的特性。

教学重难点

重点:掌握基本的四会单词、词组及句型。

难点:运用适当的形容词来描述、谈论天气的特性。

教学准备多媒体课件。

教学步骤:

Step ILead-in

1.Enjoy a video about weather in different seasons.

2.Have a free talk, work in groups to describe them with the knowledge that they have learnt in the past.

Which season do you like best?

How’s the weather in spring/summer/autumn/winter/today?It’s sunny...

【设计意图:引导学生用所学过的词汇和句型描述四季的气候和天气的变化,导入新课。通过季节短片将学生带入四季的不同景色中,为下一个对话任务做准备。】

Step IIPresentation

1. Read the weather sign

(1) Show the weather sign. Tell the students how to read them and how to say the highest and the lowest temperatures.

(2) Show the students how to tell the weather and temperature in one sentence. Ask them to read more weather signs.

2. Weather in different seasons

(1) Guess the possible season according to the weather report.

Ask the students to read the weather reports in four seasons, find the sentences about weather and temperature, and guess what season it is. Teach the new expressions “snowstorm, drop to/rise to, drop below zero/stay above zero, around, in the thirties, the rest of the week, daytime”.

(2) Talk about the seasons in pairs.

Suppose you come from different places, look at the pictures , then ask and answer in turns,try to use the new sentences.

The temperature is between… and…

The highest temperature is…and the lowest temperature is…

Read all the sentences together.

【设计意图:指导学生将不同地方的气候进行对比,在比较的过程使用价值信息,思考老师的问题,为下面的听力任务打好铺垫。

Step IIISpeak up

1.Discuss with your partner and get as much information as you can about weather in different seasons and places.

We know that in winter the weather in Binhai is different from that in Nanjing.

How's the weather in Nanjing?

Daniel’s aunt is in Nanjing. He's talking about the weather on the phone with his aunt in Nanjing.

2.Listen to the tape and tell me the answer to the following questions.

What is the weather like in Beijing today?

How was the weather in Beijing yesterday?

How is the weather in Nanjing?

Why can’t Daniel hear his aunt?

3.Work in pairs and ask students to talk about the weather in different cities.Give some weather signs in different cities and ask the students to work in pairs to talk about the weather according to the model.

【设计意图:首先让学生带着简单的问题听录音,初步感知对话中的大致内容。然后让学生以多种形式读对话,帮助学生正音。教师提供基础对话素材和对话模板,学生进行课堂讨论,对学有余力的学生还可适当拓展内容让不同层次的学生都有提高。】

Step IV Listening

1.Now we're going to listen to the weather report about another four cities.Listen carefully and help me choose the perfect place to visit.Ask students to say how to do the listening better. Give them some suggestions on listening skills.

2. Ask students to listen to the tape twice and complete the A2 on P 87.

3. Check answers together and if necessary listen to the tape again.

4. Play the tape again, complete Part A3 on P88, and correct some information.

①Annie is writing about the weather in different places in her diary entry. Listen to her conversation with Simon. Help her complete her diary entry.

②Have you finished Annie's diary entry? First, please check the answers in pairs. Then we'll check as a class.

5.Ask students to read the listening materials as soon as possible and find out the Important information.

【设计意图:提醒学生要听时捕捉关键词,理解文章主要意思,指导学生听前先阅读并猜测,必要时用缩写或简写速记单词,听后再补全单词,培养良好的听力习惯和技巧。根据学生完成情况,对听力材料进行选择性播放,利于学生学会抓关键词。对听力原文的呈现,有助于学生查漏补缺,让学生可以对听力材料进行很好的消化、吸收。】

【设计意图:小组合作完成,每位组员各负责其中的一段,要求组内成员合作,使每个组员都能得到不同程度的进步鼓励了学生间进行合作学习。】

经过本次8A Unit 7 Seasons Integrated skills的教学实践,我深刻感受到了英语听力在学生学习英语过程中的重要性,同时也意识到了自己在教学中的一些不足之处。以下是我对本次教学的反思和总结:

 

一、教学目标的达成情况

 

在本次听力课中,我设定的主要教学目标是帮助学生提高英语听力理解能力,特别是识别关键词汇、理解简单对话和短文的能力。通过课堂观察和课后检测,我发现大部分学生能够跟上听力材料的节奏,并准确回答相关问题。然而,仍有少数学生在听力过程中表现出一定的困难,需要我在今后的教学中给予更多的关注和帮助。

 

二、教学方法的运用

 

在教学方法上,我采用了多种教学手段,如播放录音、展示图片、小组讨论等,以激发学生的学习兴趣和积极性。特别是在听力材料的选择上,我注重了内容的趣味性和实用性,尽量贴近学生的生活实际和兴趣爱好。然而,在听力材料的难度控制上,我仍有待提高。部分听力材料对于部分学生来说过于简单,而对于另一些学生来说则相对较难,这在一定程度上影响了教学效果。

 

三、课堂氛围的营造

 

在课堂氛围的营造上,我注重了师生互动和生生互动的结合,鼓励学生积极参与课堂讨论和提问。通过小组合作和角色扮演等活动,我成功地营造了一个轻松、愉快的课堂氛围,使学生在轻松愉快的氛围中提高了英语听力水平。然而,我也发现自己在课堂管理方面仍有不足,特别是在维持课堂秩序和引导学生发言方面需要进一步加强。

 

四、学生个体差异的关注

 

在本次教学中,我注意到了学生之间的个体差异,并尝试通过分层教学、个别辅导等方式来满足不同学生的学习需求。然而,由于时间和精力有限,我在这方面做得还不够到位。在未来的教学中,我将更加注重因材施教,关注每一个学生的成长和发展。

 

五、教学反思与改进

 

通过本次教学实践,我深刻认识到了自己在英语听力教学中的不足和需要改进的地方。为了进一步提高教学效果,我将采取以下措施:

 

 1. 加强听力材料的难度控制,确保听力材料既符合学生的生活实际和兴趣爱好,又具有一定的挑战性和趣味性。

 

 2. 注重课堂管理,特别是在维持课堂秩序和引导学生发言方面要进一步加强,确保课堂氛围的和谐与有序。

 

 3. 加强个别辅导和分层教学,关注每一个学生的成长和发展,尽量满足不同层次学生的学习需求。

 

 4. 积极参加教学培训和教研活动,不断提高自己的教学水平和专业素养。
