I. Teaching aims and learning objectives

By the end of the lesson, students should be able to:

1. master some useful words and expressions about outdoor activities；

2.  talk about your favourite outdoor activity with others;

1. New words and phrases: outdoor, complain, camping, cycling, riding, skating, ride, hurry up, that heavy, complain too much, go riding/camping

2. New Sentences: What outdoor activity would you like to try?

I want to go swimming.

Learn how to talk about the favourite outdoor activity and the reason.

Step 1 Lead-in

1. Watch the video:

    What can activities you see in this video?

    What are the outdoor activities?

2. Warm-up:

   Do you like outdoor activities? Which of them do you like best?

   Step 2 Presentation

   1. Look and say:

    What outdoor activity are they doing?

   2. Listen and answer:

   (1) How does Eddie feel?

   (2) Why can’t Eddie hurry up?

   (3) Why does Hobo think the bag isn’t heavy?

   3. Act it out

公开课反思：

基于本次公开课，我有以下反思：首先，本次上课的班级学生偏内向，学生在课上有些紧张，因此前几分钟提问时，学生都有些拘谨因而不敢举手，在感受到他们的拘束之后，我通过请班级中开朗的学生上台表演，缓解了课堂氛围，学生也更加大胆地举手发言。在以后的公开课或者平时上课中，我也要根据学生的特点设置合适的环节。其次，在上课中出现了一些口误和嘴瓢，以后还需多多锻炼课堂用语，花时间多多熟悉课件。最后，上一次公开课因为种种原因，导致时间管理上有些偏差，本次公开课我吸取经验，提前调好了闹钟，因此上课时间刚刚好。
