Step 1 Testing paper analysis
The difficulty of this paper is moderate, the question type is regular, and the options are basically usually involved in intensive exercises.
Cloze:
It is a narrative essay which focuses on the parent-child relationship. With the help the help of Dr. Smith, a father learns about the importance of communication between the father and the son.
Reading Comprehension:
There are four passages in the reading comprehension, which focus on the understanding the contents in reading materials.
Passage 1 talks about the Ellington’s School, including the main teaching building, library, School halls and other rooms.
Passage 2 discusses the green products and some suggestions about how to live a green life.
Passage 3 talks about the origin of the Tree-planting Day, the Green Great Wall and the special meaning of this festival.
Passage 4 tells the adventure of Tom Sawyer and his friends on the Jackson’s Island.

It is a narrative essay, which talks about how the country music changes Sarah’s life forever.
Vocabulary Usage:
Vocabulary is the basis of learning English, it mainly examine some high-frequency words, various conjugations, and the correct use of six tenses.

Reading and Expression:
Reading and expression aims to strengthen students’ ability to acquire information, process information, analyze and solve problems through reading, especially their ability to think and express in English. Students need to concise language to express their own views according to the requirements of the questions of the passage.

It is a topic composition, which requires students to write an article about an extracurricular course.

本节公开课为习题课,主要讲评了苏州市区一模卷。试卷讲评是教学中不可或缺的一个重要环节,尤其在中考复习阶段其重要性更为突出。它在获取教学信息反馈,调整教学策略,提高教学效果上有着不可替代的作用。
在讲解阅读理解时,我更侧重教学生如何答题,交给学生正确的答题方法。首先是确定每一题的题型,然后是根据每一种题型的答题方法去答题。如,词义猜测题,关注词汇所在句及上下句;段落大意题,关注段首和段尾;推理判断题,依据常识和基于文本;细节理解题,根据选项内容,文中划出相似语句,再一一辨析。
但在本节课中,我仍然存在着一些不足,比如课堂时间把控不到位,阅读理解讲解细致,导致后面阅读表达讲解时间不足。在讲解书面表达时,受时间限制,未能将学生作文中的典型错误和错误句型进行展示分析,作文讲解还不够细致。
总而言之,本节课课容量大,带领学生进行了大量的拓展训练,诠释了“做题不在于多而在于精”的复习理念。但整节课课堂推进速度较慢,课堂时间分配上还需改进,学生回答问题参与面还需扩大。
在新课程理念的指导下,我将继续积极探索与研究,用科学高效的方法进行试卷讲评。
