本节课是7B第七单元的第一课时的内容,从本单元整体来看,本单元的内容是关于不同的人的不同的能力,以及人们运用这些能力去帮助别人。本课作为单元的导入课,结合单元主题,鼓励学生通过本课学习,及时运用所学的相关词汇,对于个人能力和乐于助人的相关话题,进行讨论和展示。由于本节课,较贴近学生的现实生活,容易被学生理解,相关的谈论话题较多,学生比较感兴趣。
Comic strip中Eddie想要证明自己具有飞行的能力的话题。狗不同,能力肯定有差距。学生在role play环节,学生积极思考:梦想是可贵的,就是本身不能飞翔,思想上也要翱翔于九天之上。贪吃懒惰的Eddie,比起现实的Hobo,更显可爱与受人敬重。话题一转,“如果Eddie真的是superdog,它会有哪些超能力?”
每个人拥有不同的能力,在自己力所能及的范围之内帮助有需要的人。课题通过帮助谁,如何帮助他们的探讨,帮助学生层层探究,解决问题。
