How to Make Suzhou More Beautiful

Teaching objectives:

By the end of the class, students will be able to:

  1. Learn how to analyse the writing task, draft the outline, organize the ideas and connect the writing.

  2. Review and polish their writing according to the evaluation form

  3. Recognize the importance of individual actions in enhancing the beauty of Suzhou.

  4. Reflect on their own behaviors and identify ways to contribute to the city's beauty.

     

    Teaching procedures:

    1.Warm up  

    Present a video and some pictures:

    Q:What can you see in the video? Is it beautiful?

    What other beautiful things can you find in Suzhou?

    Have you ever been touched by these beauties?

    Do you want to make Suzhou more beautiful?

    2.Pre-writing

  • Analyse the topic

    Q:What is the beauty of Suzhou?

  • Draft the outline

  • Organize the ideas

    Discussion:What is the thing that touches you when it comes to making Suzhou more beautiful?

    Comparison:Which one is better?  Why?

    Further thinking:What can we learn from the experience?

本节课为中考作文复习课,材料为2023年苏州中考作文题How to Make Suzhou More Beautiful本文是一篇演讲稿时态为一般现在时一般过去时学生应根据题干中的提示介绍触动他们的一件事情以及这件事情给他们的启示和让苏州变得更美的倡议在写作指导中,我将写作过程分为了Analyse the topicDraft the outline”Organize the ideasConnect the writingImprove the language这几个步骤,指导学生边思考边生成文本,并通过点评总结写作要点。在课程结束后,我针对课堂反出来的问题有以下思考:

我教学设计的初衷是希望学生能够通过视频和图片的引导,深入感受苏州的美丽,并激发他们的写作热情。然而,在实际教学过程中,我发现作文铺垫的效果并不如预期。

首先,虽然视频和图片能够给学生带来直观的感受,但在引导学生分析苏州之美的过程中,我未能充分激发他们的思考和联想。这导致学生在写作时,内容较为单一,缺乏深度和个性。

其次,在预写作阶段,我尝试通过讨论和比较来帮助学生梳理思路,但这一过程中,我未能针对每个学生的不同情况进行有针对性的指导。这使得部分学生在组织思路和表达时感到困惑,影响了他们的写作质量。

针对这些问题,我认为在未来的教学中,我应该更加注重作文铺垫的细致性和深度。我可以通过设计更具启发性的问题和活动,引导学生深入挖掘苏州之美的内涵,激发他们的创造力和想象力。同时,在预写作阶段,我应该更加关注每个学生的不同需求,提供更有针对性的指导和帮助,帮助他们更好地组织思路和表达。

总之,这次教学让我深刻认识到作文铺垫和现场指导的重要性。在未来的教学中,我将不断反思和改进,努力提升我的教学效果,帮助学生更好地写出有深度、有个性的文章。
