Poems about pets

Learning objectives:

At the end of this lesson, students are expected to:

  1. know expressions about the looks, habits and the relationship between pets and owners;

  2. analyze the emotions and meanings of the poems;

  3. understand the tones, rhymes and structure of the poems and appreciate the unique charm of the poems.

Read the poem “My dog” together and answer the following questions.

(1)What is the dog like?

(2)How does the writer like the dog?

(3)Why does the writer use “he”, but not “it”?

(4)Why does the writer use “the cleverest animal of all” but not “a clever animal”?

3. Find out the rhyming words

4. Whats the function of the rhyming words?

5. Read the poem “My cat” together and fill in the blanks.

(1) Ask students to introduce the cat according to the chart.

(2) What does the writer think of his cat?

(3) Circle some key words to show the writers love.

6. Find out the rhyming words

7. Read and feel

太仓市实验中学 王艳秋

这节公开课我上的是7BUnit5Reading,这是一节诗歌阅读课。本节课最核心的教学目标是通过本课的学习使学生学会并能够掌握一些赏析诗歌的小技巧,并使学生能够简单地谈论自己喜欢的动物,我认为我已经达成了这一目标。感觉比较好的地方就是通过短片、图片让学生融入到本课的情境之中,让学生能够较好地描述自己的宠物

这节课上完之后,我也进行了反思,比如在前面赏析阶段可以更具体。描述动物表达可以更加丰富,这样一来既可以让学生自由发挥,也可以为后面的写作做好充分准备

总之,这节阅读课上完我还是收获满满的,希望在今后的公开课中不断完善教学。
